Applicants to this program can be current teachers or professionals from another field making the switch to teaching. Requirements include:
- A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 in your bachelor’s program
Applicants who fall just below the minimum GPA requirement may request a review of their application by the program director. However, acceptance of an application for review does not guarantee admission to the program.

The MSEd – Master Teacher Program is a two-year advanced degree program. You will take 10 courses (a total of 30 credits). Courses run one at a time, in seven-week sessions.

Curriculums for all education programs at Gwynedd Mercy University are subject to change pending program specific competency changes in certification by the PA Department of Education. New regulations in 22 PA Code Chapter 49 may result in changes for teacher education programs at Gwynedd Mercy University.
GMercyU’s Master of Science in Education teaches the skills you need to advance your practice as a PreK-12 teacher.
